Our Current Reptile List has been updated!

The revamp of the Animal room is pretty much complete, just some fine tweeking to be done.

The new viv's offer more space for the Reptiles, and the purpose built hatchling-invertibrate rack allows customers to view the critters more closely.

Started work on a new label system for the Reptiles that will give our customers some information on each Reptile, allowing them to gain a little bit of knowledge on any of our beasties.

Also added another 8 fish tanks to the fish area, allowing us to carry a bigger range of fantastic tropical fish.

The Tortoises are BACK!

And seem to have settled right back in.

This is our NEW page to show off ours and our loyal customers pet pictures.

If you would like one of your pets to feature on our website, then please email us your pictures and any details you would like beside your pics i.e. your name, age, pets name and breed etc.

(please note - personal details are optional, i.e. you can submit a picture on its own with no details.)

Reptile season seems to be running very late this year, so we're still expecting all our fancy Corn Snake colour morphs and our Boas and Pythons.

We have a new display of Paradise Flying Tree Snakes, well worth a look!!

Lots of new Dog & Cat toys due in for the beginning of next week, and keep your eyes open for extra special offers on all sizes of Exo Terra Vivariums due in the middle of this week.

We will now be selling Rabbits & Guinea Pigs as most of the bad weather has passed now, we hope!

Due to internet problems we have been unable to update our reptile list & special offers pages, we are very sorry if this has caused frustration, hopefully things will be back to normal now and our Current Reptile List will be updated weekly once again.

We have some Corn Snakes coming in soon, these will definitely be the last of the season, although Andrew has been told this years eggs have started to arrive, so it won't be long until 2008 babies will be available.

"Captive Farmed Royal Python" season is about to begin.

F.P. Birnie Pet Shop will not be selling any of these types of Royals, as we see them as no different to wild caught. This is a can of worms that we do not want to be involved with.

Our trusted Scottish bred Royal Pythons will be due in July/August time. All colour mutations and Hetts will be available to order, please ask Andrew in store, needless to say all our Snakes in our shop are guaranteed "strike feeders" before we allow them to be sold on.

Just a little update on what we are up to...

We have expanded!!

The two reasons for changing the shop were to allow us to expand our reptile collection, and to give us a lot more shelf space for our many products.

All our Animals, Birds & Reptiles are now located in the newly finished area at the back of the shop, it's still a work in progress! We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to your recent visits to us.

If you have come into the shop lately you will have seen that the old "Reptile Room" has been converted into a lovely Aviary/Tortoise haven.

At present we have our resident Tortoises & 2 Kakarikies housed, we intend to add some hand reared Cockatiels at a later date.
